Default Stock Brake Caliper questions (98-02)

1. Are the stock brakes for a 98-2002 Firebird V6 the same as a LS1 Trans Am?

2. How many pistons are the front and rear calipers for the stock?

I have 6 piston Wilwoods for the front and 4 for the back.
Do Wilwood Calipers fit with OEM brake pads? I want to go with HAWK or do I have to buy them from Wilwood?

.

Willwood has their own special pads that drop on from the top if I remember correctly. Different design and better brakes.

Stock ls1 brakes have two piston up front and 1 piston in back. The v6 cars I believe had the disc brake up front an drum in back but I've never really paid attention to them much ik the lt1s came like that.

LT1's had vented discs on all 4 corners.
