What vehicle do you have? If it's an f-body you already have a torque arm. Do you mean an adjustable aftermarket torque arm? The one thing i liked about my old SLP adjustable torque arm was just that, its an adjustable torque arm, you can set the correct pinion angle, plus it's much more solid than the crappy stamped steel stocker.

It really depends on what you plan to do with your car. Track? daily driver? I'd leave it alone if it's your daily driver.

After I did mine it just felt like it transferred power a lot better. Took some slop out of the driveline.

Mine is a daily driver and I think at this point I have every bolt on that you can do to the car.

I just ordered a UMI adjustable, I will let you know my impressions of the new arm after I get it on the car. My car is lowered with G2 springs so I am sure if nothing else getting the angle back to optimum will make a difference in feeling and traction.

I agree with this guy.

I installed one simply because my stocker broke at the mounting points on the rear. I never take my car to the drag strip, but on the street, you can notice a big difference. Probably the best rear suspension item I did.

Next to headers, a torque arm was my most noticable mod. I'd consider it a necessity.

It is definitely worth doing! I have seen many guys tweak the stock torque arms since they are just stamped steel. The torque arm definitely gives the care a more solid feel and helps with overall handling both street and track.

I'm getting a UMI torque arm soon. The stock ones are made out of flimsy stamped metal, and actually my torque arm bolts somehow came loose and starting shaking the car on deceleration. Kinda weird... but anyway, a good friend of mine has an aftermarket torque arm on his car and swears by it. Said it helped him some at the drag strip, and the car felt more 'solid' after he installed it.

^ Mine did the same thing. I broke mine after practicing some launches on my brand new 315 Toyo drag radials..
