Question Bad Bushings or something else?

So, I'm 99.9% sure it's my bushings but I want to double confirm with the rest of you. ... When I go over speed bumps at literally 3-5 mph, I can clearly hear the **creeeeek** like an old worn out mattress or a rickety boat! ... I hear it in the front and back. ... Is there any reason to assume it may be my shocks or something else?

... If it really is my bushings, should I grab specific ones or do I buy a kit? .. I already have Prothane Motor Mounts and Trans Mount. I'd rather not buy the kit only to realize that I just bought another set of those suckers. I'm looking at Energy Suspension stuff and Prothane. ....Preference?!!

Thanks!

I personally stay away from poly because it binds when it trys to move against its natural direction of motion.

I personally like either rubber or spherical. Rubber for a street car, spherical for a track car.

What kind of abuse does the car see? Do you drive it daily on the street or is it your weekend/track toy?

I would either go with Moog rubber replacement bushings if its mostly a street car.

It's my DD. ... I honestly wouldn't mind a rough ride from Poly. Oddly enough, I prefer it. I'm just sick of the damn **creeeek** I'm constantly hearing. It's driving me out of blither'n mind.

The creaking noises you are hearing are more than likely the sway bar bushings. Spray the bushings down with WD-40 and see if that temporarily fixes the creaking noise, this will help you narrow dwon what the issue is. What aftermarket suspension parts do you have on the car or is everything still stock?

Hmmm, I'll try that. Thanks. ... With the exception of rear LCAs, all stock!

Dry rubber will do that.

I lubed mine with engine assembly lube, the moly /
graphite grease kind, well over 5 years back and it's
not made a peep since.
