Any difference between bolt in and weld in subframe connectors?
Specifically the UMI 3 point ones which I plan on getting...
I know a lot of people say get bolt in ones then just bolt them up and get a muffler shop to weld them, but if that's the case why does UMI bother selling the non-bolt in ones at all

Weld-only SFC's are cheaper. The bolt-on pieces can be welded, but the weld-only pieces can't be bolted-on, thus the reason that bolt-on pieces cost more. If someone has a welder (or wants to pay more labor to a shop to hold them in place and then weld) then there's no sense in them spending the extra $20 or so if you don't need to.

Bolt in's are just easier to install if you don't have a welder or want to pay labor. Plus you can remove them if need be without having to cut them off the car in the case of wanting to sell or paint them.

oh btw for a shop to put the weld in sfc on the car only takes a few minutes of there time(set in place and tackweld) , so its not going to be cheaper to bolt them on yourself first
buy weld in sfc take them to the shop and relax lol
i feel bad for guys who waste there time getting bolt ins and put them on to just have a shop weld them anyways
