Default Umi Adjustable Torque Arm, Is It Worth the Extra $100 for Chrome Moly?

I am rebuilding my 4l60 and noticed my stock torque arm is bent so its time to get a good one. I have a set of 243 heads and a 238 cam I am also about to install and wanted to know if its worth the extra money for the chrome moly. Has anyone had any trouble bending or breaking the mild steel ones?

Are you kidding me !! Less weight & added strength ... Y wouldn't pay extra $ than pay twice for it later ? ... Go get em chromoly parts & get em suspension tuning accessories too ... It helps a lot !! IMO Only

Hello,

Thanks for considering the UMI item for your project.

We recommend the chromoly upgrade if the vehicle is running 10.50's or faster on a weekly basis. If this is not the case it wouldn't hurt to have but it would be up to you.

I hope this helps some, if you need anything else just ask!
