Default Strano springs and KYB agx shocks

I want to try something different then what I have now. I already have Bilstiens, and don't want to spend money on Koni shocks. I like the price of the KYB's and I like that they are "adjustable". So...

Does anyone run Sam's springs with KYB arg shocks? Whats the ride height like?

You don't have to be a pro photographer to make ^ car look good! Oh yeah, the ride height is perfect too!

Ha, Thanks

6 or 7 on the front, 3 on the rear. If I go to 4 on the rear, it slams real hard.

My ORY rubs if its a big bump, otherwise it's not to bad as long as you have some common sense

How can you be sold on a set of shocks from a picture?? Unless you're saying the nice car was a successful marketing tool.. That I can understand.

How do the cars ride with those setups? Are they nice and smooth or rough and just look good?

Lol, I wasn't going to get into the fact that shocks don't really determine the ride height haha.

And CamaroKing, my car rides firm, but smooth if that makes sense.

I'm not sure if its the low profile of the 18's or what, but if I go higher then 3, something hits real hard on bumps, I think it's the exhaust where it goes over axle but I am not sure. I will throw them all the way up on 7 and take it for a cruise this evening and see if maybe I can get a video of what it does...

Ok, I put mine on 7 and took it for a spin, it rode quite a bit firmer, but the noise is now gone, I am guessing when I re-adjusted my catback after I did LT's that solved the problem. I still preferred my setting of 3 as it wasn't quite as jarring that way. But 7 was nice and firm.

If I were to have 17"s all around would a higher setting make for a smoother and firmer ride?

You could run a higher setting and still be fine because of more sidewall. It all comes down to preference on what feels "right" to you. You just have to experiment with the setting to find a combo that you like.
