So obviously I need the stock rack mounts because I have power steering. Why do people convert over to the manual steering rack? Cant you just run a short belt that bypasses the pump? Thanks.

Weight reduction! You can eliminate about 15-20 pounds off the nose by taking the power steering pump, associated parts off and the use of a lighter manual rack.

I have seen the manual steering racks that fit in place of the power steering unit, but they are like 500 bucks. Is buying a pinto steering rack cheaper? If so do you have any part numbers or links to where I can get one that will fit? Is there any other modification needed or do you just pull the power steering unit out and put the pinto steering unit in?

My Pro Fab seems to work pretty good as a daily driver. I don't have many miles to determine longevity but seems to drive as good or better than stock. My time slip shows faster!

It's a good mod. I recommend the K member and A arms!

What about the motor mounts? Im thinking of going with a BMR unit and plus there is a GP going on right now, but when it says with or without motor mounts, is that the mount or the actual bushing? So if I ordered the k-member with mounts, would it come with the mount for the busing or both. Im just trying to get on the right page before I make my order. Thanks. Also, do you know if the Spohn tubular solid mounts work with the BMR k-member?

*Ahem*

What are the cons to having a tubular k-member?

Get the one with the motor mount supports built into it. You can reuse the stock mounts. It does away with the stock motor mount supports and saves some weight.
