Brembo Blanks or Napa blanks and Hawk HP or HPS pads and good brake fluid. DONE

Wilwoods are probably the best bang for the buck.. At least for their SL*R kits.. I have their SL4R kit and it is pretty awesome bit of kit for the money.

C5 or C6 front brakes give you a bigger diameter rotor, which improves braking significantly. Just need the calipers and brackets from the donor car and a set of adapters. Do a search on c5 brake and see what you think. Less than $1K usually.

i agree with the bigger rotor but c5 to ls1 caliper is no difference there clamp pressure/bite is the same i want to move to a minimum 4 piston caliper

do you have a part number that you used for the willwood kit?

Probably noticed the difference of the pads. I have seen a few tests done where the LS1 brake setup has been within 5 feet stopping difference of the C5 setup. That's on the same car, same brand of pads, similar weather.

On another note there are a few guys that have been using the 2010 Camaro SS calipers and 14" rotors, but 18" wheels.

Im running a the 12.2" setup on my car. It came from a buddy that races in CMC2 and they are limited to nothing larger than a 12.2" rotor.

My kit number is #140-10691

The 13" kit is #140-7190 (technically a 12.88" rotor, but the offers a much better caliper than the 13.06" kit which is #140-9833)

PM me if you want more info.. I also have a connection for Wilwood if your interested.

All that being said, I track my car quite frequently and the 12.2" kit is more than sufficient with good pads, both on and off the track.

M C6 brakes with ducts and Ferodo DS 2500 pads are light years ahead of the stockers. They can go 30 minute HPDE sessions in a 3800lb Z28 with no problems.
