Default Eibach Lowering Springs

I just bought an 02 35th Anniversary Camaro SS. I would like to lower it and wondered if anyone here has used these springs on their car before?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EIB-4-7038/
I don't plan to race it, I plan to drive it on the street and take it to shows.
What shocks would you recommend?
I want to put some different wheels on to. I was thinking 18x10.5-11"s (rear)
and 18x9.5"s (front)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Brian

C'mon Megatron he's new here...

Welcome Brian,
Those are Eibach Sportlines. They look great but are super low and are too soft so people tend to bottom out alot when running those. I happen to like them because the other springs offered by alot of companies don't go low enough in my opinion. Strano springs offer the best performance from what I've read on here and Koni shocks are wicked but pricey. Anyways check out this thread for starters.

dont buy em if ur going to 315 tires, they'll rub your fender wells, and you'll have to do a bumpstop mod.

However, I have a set of eibach rear springs, $60 shipped, pm me if interested.

^^ what he said, the sportlines are very low, most members are going to tell you to consider the eibach pro kit over the eibach sportlines. I've had the eibach pro kit for 4 years now, they have been alright springs, but I still bottom out every now and then. I'm considering going with some strano's very shortly.

I have them and have had little problems. If I were to buy new ones I would go with the Strano Srings. Sam Strano is a sponsor on this board and his website can be found on the right side colum of sponsors. I purchased a set of the Bilstein re-valves four years ago and like them. However you like in Michigan where the roads are garbage and I live in florida on smooth roads. I would contact him and go off of his recommendations. No matter what you do don't replace the springs and not the shocks. That is ricer, unsafe, non f-body, gonna result in a terriable ride and overall just gay. Koni are considered the best but will cost about 750 a set. Again contact sam and see what he has. And just spend time here asking questions and reading.

Good Luck

There are a few companies that you can look, and choose your set up from... but, of course everyone is going to say strano.

bmr, eibach, hotchkis, strano, slp... they have a ton of different ones, and are all quality pieces..

I have had Eibach Sportlines on my Camaro for over 8 years and they are perfect
still . They ride very nicely , never bottom out , never sagged , never a damn issue .
I am running a 315 rear tire on an 18" wheel and dont have any rubbing issues
whatsoever . Im starting to wonder if Eibach changed their quality of wire in the
last few years because they used to be "the" spring company to go with . Now theres
nothing but complaints . But I can personally vouch for all the Eibach sets of Pro
Kits and Sportlines I have put on Fbodies . I have yet to have used an Eibach spring
produced in the last 5 years so maybe the fault line with quality lies somewhere
around there .

I got them on my fire hawk and have no complaints. If you plan on long tube headers in the future you'll need to watch the speed bumps.

I have long tubes on my Camaro. I was told by a friend not to use Eibach springs because of all of the issues that were mentioned earlier in this thread. He said that I should go with Hotchkis springs and Koni shocks.
I want to get some OE chrome deep dish C6 Zo6 wheels. 18x9.5" F w/ 275-40-18" and 18x10.5" R w/295-35-18"
I still need to figure out the "offsets" to make them fit properly.

If you put long tubes onto an f-body and lower it.. of course you might scrape..that's not the springs fault..when you as the owner are picking the lowest stance springs.. its like cutting yourself with a knife and then getting mad at the knife...

I have had the Eibach Pro-kit for about eight years now. The ride is awesome and has not changed nor has the car sagged. I have no problems with speed bumps or bottoming out in back. Buy the right longtubes (Kooks) and they tuck up where they belong. I also like my KYB AGX shocks. Just another data point for you.

Is this a real issue with the BMR springs? I noticed that Byunspeed has a sale ending today July5 2011.
I was looking at this kit:http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...ducts_id=18144 I have a question regarding the rear shocks. It says the rears are only adjustable "off" the car. Is this a real issue?
Is there a setting that most people use that you don't have to pull them back off?
For a little more I could buy this kit: http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...ducts_id=18145 Which one would you buy?

Just placed my order with ByunSpeed for the yellow single adjustable Koni's and 1.25" BMR lowering springs along with a BMR adjustable panhard bar. I decided to take advantage of their 4th of July special!
