Default New Springs that dont lower the car

so i am getting new shocks and would like to get new springs as well, but since i have a T/A i would not like to lower the car. does anyone make coil springs that dont lower the car? is it even worth it to upgrade from stock springs if i am not lowering the car?

Unless you've been running your car in "off road" events, you springs will not wear out. They may "settle" a bit, but that most likely happened by the time the car was six months old. Therefore, unless the car is "sagging" in one direction or another, simply replace the shocks, and enjoy the ride....

IMO, get either a set of Bilsteins or if you budget permits Koni SA's.

I, also, am in the market for shocks. I read a few posts where some guys were saying that the Bilsteins for the rear made the ride harsh. Can anyone jump in and elaborate more on that?

Bilsteins are a performance shock as well as not being adjustable like the Koni's so they are set to be a bit more stiff. Some people don't like that or live in areas where the roads are pretty bad.

It's really just what you can live with. I've had bilsteins since I got the car and unless the road is total crap (bumpy) I've never been uncomfortable driving. Granted I learned to drive on a '91 camaro and an '85 dodge pick-up so I was used to rough suspensions. That and I was buying a muscle car, not a BMW.

We run the SLP/Bilsteins w/ 1" Hotchkis springs. Ride the nice. We used to run just the Hotchkis springs with the stock shocks and the ride was a little more rough than before.

If you want a nice ride on a budget you can go with either the SLP Bilsteins here.

and go with either the BMR 1.25 springs or Hotchkis 1" springs

Those looking for the KONI which are a nice upgrade for street use I would just stick with the single adjustable shocks.

And those who are just looking for standard stock replacement parts these are what we have available.

If you have any further questions let me know.
