A few months back I needed some front shock spacers - price didnt matter at that point, I just needed my car back on the road. I sent PMs to UMI and BMR at the same time. Ryan @ UMI responded within 2hrs and had the spacers in my hands less than 48hrs later...have yet to hear back from BMR
Doesnt matter if its a $2 or $2,000 part, when your product is almost exactly like your competitors, my choice is determined by the quality of customer service

I think its nothing but personal preference when it comes down to it, there both very similar to eachother. Im going with everything UMI except for the front a-arms, gonna go with BMR's lowering a-arms since my front end didnt really lower that much with the strano springs. Another member had this same issue and solved it with BMR's a-arms, so ill be doing the same lol

Quality wise, I think they're both pretty equal. I used to be partial to BMR when you could pick your powdercoat color, and I liked everything in black. Once BMR went to the "Hammertone" color, their products no longer matched their older products and I switched to UMI so I could still keep everything in black and looking the same under the car... No, I'm NOT a girl

Im the same way. I want everything to match under my car, same color and brand. I just have a slight case of OCD.

Most companies that offer tubular suspension for the Fbodies use the EXACT same design. There may be extremely slight differences like color choice or the welds or tube thickness but generally they are all the same. Just different colors / brand / stickers.
I've had 4 sets of LCA's in my possesion... Spohn, BMR, UMI, and Founders. They are all identical. The founders are slightly different but the average person wouldn't even be able to notice it.

Suspensions make it very hard to create a totally unique product. You're making a bar, tube, or spring that has to work in the factory position and then you have to make yourself different from your competitors. Everything we sell parts for is because we either own a vehicle and developed the parts for it, or we were given access to a vehicle to develop a new product line on.
Well we take pride in creating some of the original products for the fourth-gen F-Bodies, and they're still our bread and butter. While other products out there may look similar to ours, they aren't the same. From wall thicknesses, bushing material, build-quality, and customer technical support. ;-)

Thanks everyone for the positive comments, we appreciate it.
Kevin @ BMR is correct, many suspension products are difficult to make unique. In these cases you need to look at product quality, fitment and service. We pride ourselves in our fabricating, finishing and over all design. We are also very proud to say that we manufacture virtually all our products right here in our shop from start to finish. We subcontract less than 1% of our products and this is because of bending that is too heavy for our machines.
Which ever product you choose I am sure you will be happy with it. If there is any questions regarding your suspension in general or our products please feel free to ask.
Thank you,
Ryan
