And I don't have to ride in your car to know that poly pieces in certain areas don't work well, and will bind, theres proof all over this board (look at the thread I posted, a front control arm breaks because of the poly binding, when its supposed to allow movement). Im also guessing your car is a handful on a bumpy road?
Im not being a smart *** but have you ever actually pushed the car around turns? Seems with poly bushings binding up the car should become skiddish and skip around a lot.

The only place where poly seems to be recommended is on the sway bar end links and body D brackets.
You do realize that the color does not matter, what matters is if the brand you are considering, and THAT SPECIFIC PART has graphite impregnated. Not all brands do, and the brands that do, some parts that are black do NOT have it.
When in doubt, phone the company's tech support and ask about the specific part #s you want.
Even so, the graphite impregnation is no guarantee against squeaks!

i have solid mounts and spherical bushings everywhere i love them and ive yet to break anything, my car is a rattle box though which didnt happen until i put solid motor mounts in, i wouldnt trade the responsiveness i got out of them for the world though.
btw I build road race cars for a living no i dont know everything but shocks make a HUGE difference specially when you know how to suspension tune, im one of thoose people who actually adjust the double adjustable shocks depending on how the car pushes around the corner.

I'd recommend not doing urethane bushing kit. Some are very weak and prone to fail in no time. Some are a huge pain to install, and frankly they don't drive as nicely as rubber.
I'd do a set of Bilstein's and a set of bars (I'll recommend mine here because I'm all about handling balance and driveability). Most bar sets use a front that's too small, or a rear that's too big relative to the other end. That makes a car too edgy at the limit.

On the same route as you. Had an oil pan gasket leak so figured I'd pull the k- member for a umi one and rebuild the control arms too. What shop did you take the control arms to? In Chicago as well.

thanks for the inspiration man, i have been all torn up as to what to do, but after reading this i think i know now! that, and i like the idea of taking the parts off, getting them blasted and coated, i think i'd go with black, but yeah, you took the plunge, and i'm right behind you. one final thing (i have a couple beers down the gullet) where did you go poly, and where did you go rubber, that's the only problem i'm finding. again, good luck, and, have FUN!
