Default C5 rotors on my 01 Z28???

I just got some C5 rotors front & back. I know I need BRACKETS to make the front work with my LS1 calipers but what about the rear?

The rear brakes on 98-02 fbodies are the same as the rear brakes on the C5's.

You gain about an inch in diameter on the front rotor as well as getting directional cooling fins that help prevent the warping you get in the f-body rotors. The calipers have full width ribs to help prevent spreading and the C5 calipers are pressure cast instead of gravity cast. Not huge differences but some decent upgrades from not a lot of money that will fill up the inside of a 17in wheel nicely.

No problem! Won't have any issues at all since we share the same rear calipers with the C5's.

I matched up the LS1 rear rotor to the C5 rear rotor and I did notice the mounting holes are a tad bit smaller on the C5 rotor to are LS1 rotor.

There is an increase in brake leverage from the .9-inch larger rotor diameter as well as greater cooling and thermal capacity. They are a pretty decent upgrade from stock if you're not looking to drop a bunch of money to go with a big brake kit. It's just a step further than doing rotors, pads, lines, and fluid.

Here is our C5 Brake Conversion which includes all the hardware to install.
C5 Brake Conversion Caliper Bracket $149.95

I'm hearing now that the rear C5 rotors will not work due to the size difference in the hat and are axles length.

It is possible I was mistaken about the rotors. I used 4 calipers off an '04 Z06 so I assumed everything else was the same as well....and you know what they say about those who assume. So I apologize for any misinformation.

You mean like these? http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=247

I have a set and they've been working pretty well with C5 rotors, LS1 calipers, factory 17" WS6 wheels and the best part - no cutting. Just make sure everything is spinning free before you put the wheels on. They may require a small bit of grinding but it was casting flash on the spindle that took less than two minutes per side. If necessary I could switch back to factory brakes in a matter of the time it takes to do a normal brake job.

I used some brackets that a guy used to sell on here that are pretty similar to the ones 6liter sells (but $75 for everything). They have been working pretty good but I have realized over time (1.5 years and 9k miles) they dont quite use the whole pad and you can see it due to the wear marks on my rotors (the pad wear isnt perfect). But the stopping power did get better. It is a great cheap upgrade. I'm wondering if the 6liter's version would line up better than the ones I have (though they look nearly identical except for the holes drilled out to save weight)?

vs

Not sure why BMR says it wont work with stock camaro calipers. Maybe there's is different.
