Default BMR full lenght torque arm issue

Installed it and went well, its a black adjustable model full length if that matters. After install i started to notice a clunking noise from right under the shifter. Upon looking things over I noted that the part of the torque arm in the front that extends past the bushing is right against one of the mounting bolts for the torque arm bushing mount. Should i just pull the arm and grind this area flat a little or is there some improper installation going on here?
Thanks!

Thanks Kyle!

Here are the pics I can email them though if you prefer. If it matters my rear is at stock hight now (I also had the issues on my Bilstein Eibachs) the front is still lowered though. I had it on my drive on ramps so it was hard to get a full lenght shot of the TA but I wanted the suspension loaded to show you.

IS your car lowered? Is the rearend centered in the car?

Also, if you can zoom out and show the mount and the area where it's contacting.

The car has its front lowered 1" with Bilstein eibachs, the rear was lowered as however due to ride quaility I have since swapped them for OEM WS6 springs so its currently at stock height and the bilstein rear shocks were swapped with Koni 3rd gen adjustables. While it was lowered and while at stock height it hits. The rear end has been centered with my adjustable panhard and lcas (also BMR) both with the eibachs and the stock springs, it drives straight burn outs and hard launches go straight and visually the rear appears centered.

Ill go jack it up again and try and take a zoomed out shot of the contact area, should take about 5 minutes brb.

This, my friend, is rather peculiar. I'm going to run this by our shop director because there is no reason that we can think of that would cause it to hit. We've ruled out the rearend being out of whack. It appears the trans mount is fine, and the bushing bracket appears to be in good, working order. I will get back wit you ASAP on this.

Yea I have no clue either believe me. I was considering shaving the bolt a bit and maybe griding the TQ arm a little flat in that area but figured I'd post up and see if there was something wrong. I do have to admit it got some paint on it (green its all I had to spray where there was some rust surface rust in the channel and it got on the tq arm but obviously that has nothing to do with performance.

The motor and tranny mounts are Polys purchased from summit if that helps/matters.

Thanks

Or you could just cut me a good deal on a torque arm relocation bracket haha. I was looking at one of them as it will fix the problem and get the arm off my tailshaft. Let me know!
Thanks!

I removed a 4 year old BMR torque arm and replace it with a UMI piece and both of them are very close to that mounting bolt. The old BMR brace had a bit of material missing from 4 years of rubbing against the bolt. My car is lowered about 1.5" but the rear is centered with an adjustable panhard bar and the pinion angle was adjusted properly. I didn't really notice any additional noise and I don't think the rubbing will affect performance any.

And we enjoy the direct interaction with customers! We want all the members be happy with their part(s) and forums help us keep track of that. It's nice when we can see a picture easily and read a good description of any would-be issues.

So far I couldnt be happier with how BMR is handling this. Hoping there will be a resolution soon (before she gets covered for winter)

As for the rubbing, it is DEF hitting badly. Anytime I go from drive to reverse it clunks, when I drive and punch it it clunks and when I slam the brakes it clunks, then it clunks again when I go to take off. Anything that shifts the body seems to cause the rubbing and it is RIGHT on the bolt head. At higher speeds I get a bad vibration in the cabin that wasnt there before.
