Default Alignment after struts?

I was under the impression that you must get an alignment when you change the struts. Today i changed all my shocks and springs replaced the stock crap with some bilsteins and hotchkiss springs but my car is driving straight as can be should i align it anyway?

Most shops offer free alignment checks, I know Firestone does for one. Get it checked out, can't hurt.

I'm doing the bilsteins on my car next week. What kind of changes did you notice?

Yes, you need to get it aligned. I did springs and shocks last month. The camber needs to be adjusted. It's not much, but it needs to be done. I saw your install thread. Looks like it went well. I worried about doing mine after reading some horror stories, but it was straight forward.

I SUGGEST you have the alignment checked/corrected after changing any parts and/or
after each 10k miles/once a year/of any time the car drives differant from the day before

if you the same springs you wouldn't have needed an alignment. On some cars, the strut is the point of adjustment for camber. Our front shocks do not affect camber unless you are using different springs.

Whenever suspension is unbolted it's always a good idea to check the alignment. A few tenths of a degree from lowering, etc. doesn't seem like much but on a daily driver can mean premature tire wear and so on.

Plus, since we occasionally may drive at a high rate of speed, perfect is our normal

It's always a good idea to get it checked out. Any difference in ride height will alter the front alignment, regardless of if the tie rods were removed. As mentioned above, get it looked at. There's a good chance it's within spec, or there is a chance it's off enough to alter your tire wear over the next couple months of driving.
