Strange shocks
300# springs are common
M6 or A4? why a 12 bolt? why not a 9"?
The TQ arms are dependent on the rear you have/will have
Coilover setup for drag racing I would suggest Afcos. You can get front and rear coilovers and adjust to your desired ride height. You will need transverse shock mounts in the rear though for Afcos.
How light is the car going to be? N/A car with an aluminum block with some weight taking out? You could easily run a 275lb front spring.
On a side note I have a UMI trq arm forsale, and a UMI drag bar as well.
i will putting in 414 cui gmmp lsx so i am wondering if the 300# springs will suffice the extra weight from the iron
it will be a full bodied trans am i have had lsx cars before first f bod and love i had 81 malibu with 396 cui lsx and it ran 10.9 and was daily driven while going to school
but the suspension was a little differnt no struts in front
i am going for the drag style look will be 28. 10.50.15 i like umi products also have you run the afcos i will be occasionally driving the car on the street to local ricer bashes

For forward traction I'll go in order: LCA relocation brackets are the first way to increase forward bite. They point the LCA's down toward the rear.

For LCA's, the main thing is increased rigidity from the actual LCA and improved consistency from upgraded bushings. Roto-joint/Rod end > Poly>Rubber. Both improved styles keep the suspension moving only in the intended plane instead of all over the place. Adjustable is just that, solids can work fine.

Next in the launch equation is the tunnel mounted torque arm. Instant center adjustment (back and up) enhances forward traction.

Finally, a drag bar helps your car launch flat. As we add power, the car tends to torque out of shape and dart to the side. By adding a drag bar you can eliminate that and also improve further by preloading (much the same way as an air bag).

The street problem with the drag bar is the high RR wheel rate makes it very loose on long sweeping corners. Our car will dump the back and at 60 mph just by adding throttle. You can still drive it quickly on the street but be aware of exit ramps, etc.
Our car has a QA1 coilover kit on the front with 275's. Double adjustables allow you to soften the extension until you're happy with the weight transfer and also adjust how the car lands when the nose settles. Drop it too hard and it can unload the rear a few hundred feet out - depending on how long you can carry the front of course.

You should put as much SFC in it as you can stand. We have two and three point. These help everything work better.

Give us a call and we can customize a package. Or hit me up on here.
Depending on what we do, you can safely and progressively make a nice street car with awesome drag tendencies or we can make you drag worthy with reasonable street...
Good luck.

QA1 is mostly front coilover kits. The 4th Gens usually run stock location rear springs. Our in-house drag 4th Gen has stock location springs.
