Question Painting springs??

I'm going to replace my shocks soon and am going to paint the springs while they are out. Is there any Special Paint that I need to use, because the springs do Flex a little and I don't want the paint to chip off. Thanx.

I painted my Hypercoil springs in the front when I did coil overs. I used regular rustolium and painted them white. Lasted all season and they still look like fresh paint.
