I have problem with my Trans AM WS6 YEAR 2000 Steering Wheel, the steering wheel is not properly fixed in its place and is always moving up & down ONLY ..
I tried tightening the steering wheel bolts, but still nothing changed…
Please help…

Up and down as in the same motion how tilt function works or up and down as in you can pull the wheel towards and away from you? Maybe the car was in an accident before and the steering colum collapsed?

It’s up and down as in you can pull the wheel towards and away from you…!!!
I’m the first owner of the car and thankfully I didn’t have any accidents in it..
Also, I removed the steering colum but I didn’t know what to look for or what could be broken, so I tightened the bolts and put it back to gather.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Is the whole column moving, or is just the wheel moving? (If just the wheel moves, you should be able to see the gap between the column shroud and wheel get bigger as it moves.)
