You should have applied brake grease to the back of the pads then...

i have been running the brakemotive blanks for a couple of months and I have never had a problem. No noise and the definitely stop the car. I am harsh on brakes so I have been impressed. plus I drive 120 miles round-trip daily so even though it has only been a couple of months they have seen a lot of road time.

Not at all! If you put the "L" on the passenger side, and the "R" on the driver side, it will not affect the performance in any way!

98gtp, when you are first driving be warned the pads are very, very high dust. They get a lot better after break in.

I went with blanks. For anyone worried about a lcak of coating, just clean them up real good then paint mine.

I put my rears on last summer (fronts that were on there are still holding up fine), and painted the rotors with VHT high heat silver. The look great, and haven't rusted.

Drilled and slotted here from break motive using their provided ceramic pads. They did give me quite a bit of break dust. 500miles in and the dust has dropped to almost nothing.
Love the rotors and they look great behind the wheel.

So, it seems to be split 50/50 or 60/40 that drilled is bad, Is getting drilled/slotted rotors bad? Are they good for DD, I like how they look. These fit LT1 brakes? I am looking at getting some for front and rear on mine at end of month

If your looking for slotted only rotors for 98-02 F-body cars, brakemotive doesn't stock them. At least that's what they said when i called them recently . For 98-02 they only sell blanks and slotted/drilled. There are a few brands on ebay other than brakemotive that sell slotted only, but I'm not sure of their quality. Brembo and Power Slot sell them, but they are quite a bit more than brakemotive stuff. Hope this helps

I was skeptical but my slotted/drilled rotors are holding up great after 5 years.
