I'm planning to buy rotors , but I see differenct brands.

What is good quality and good price ?

Some say go with Baer , but when I checked their website , those are very expensive to me.

Some say they have Breakmotive,

what do you guys think ? car is a weekend street use , no autocross

here are pics of Baer and Brakmotive ..

I would stay away from drilled rotors, they are nothing but a marketing gimmick. Get yourself a quality set of slotted rotors and a nice pad if you have the coin.

I have heard nothing bad about breakmotive. However, I will soon be purchasing a set of stoptech rotors. Do a search on them, you will find plenty of information. They are supposed to be an amazing setup and are very affordable. I've heard not one negative complaint regarding their performance or price.

Well , I don't see many people saying negative thing about drilled slotted.

I checked on stoptech rotors, they offer both kinds but not for my car.

I believe the reason people stray from drilled/slotted rotors are they have been known to crack under high heat. If you don't track your car, I don't see this as being an issue. However, drilled and slotted cost more than comparable slotted rotors, and you will see no performance benefits.

Check out ATE and PowerStop rotors as well. Both are great choices.

PowerSlot rotors with StopTech pads. It's what I run on my GTO and what I've suggested to many members who have all enjoyed them immensely. You'll find they are both available for your '94 Corvette on forum sponsor Tire Rack's site.

PowerSlot was purchased by Centric several years ago. They redesigned the PowerSlot rotors to have the same metallurgy as StopTech rotors - which are a very high grade of cast iron. This makes them a very affordable and quality upgrade for the money. As for the StopTech brake pads, they are designed to resist fade up to 1,300 degrees...in other words, they probably wont be fading on you!

I would suggest these for you and I am positive you'll enjoy them and suggest the same setup to everyone you know. haha

I think I'll decide between Breakmotive and Powerslot.

Both got positive feedback from customers .

Centric blanks are nice and inexpensive, they offer cryo treating as well.

Centric is a BIG name in the brake world. As I mentioned above, they own StopTech and PowerSlot. Their generic replacement rotors are very high quality.

Those baers you are looking at are a 2 piece rotor, which makes the price go up substantially. It's a little unfair to compare a single piece brakemotive to a 2 piece baer rotor.

Does anybody know a vendor that sells stoptech pads? I'm having a hard time finding a site sponsor that does. I'm ready to swap out my hawk pads (way too dusty).

Drilled rotors will crack, several people have posted pics of them. I organilly had drilled and slotted rotors until a guy I autocross with shared a story of his c4 Corvette on the track that cracked a rotor that was drilled to the point it broke a piece out that destroyed his caliper. That week mine were gone.

Tire Rack carries their Street Performance Pads.

I've heard people talking about having drilled rotors for years with no crack, I'm not getting Baer , they are expensive and I'm not autocrossing the car. Just a street use , the reason I think about drilled over slotted is that they look better in appearance.

I may get slotted if I see more more of the word "crack" lol

How long have you had the drilled ones ? Street use ? or track

I had the drilled ones on for about 3k miles with only autocross runs and street use. For street use they may never crack but for pdx's or track sesions I would be very cautious. That's why I took them off I pdx with 3 or 4 20 min sessions the brakes get really hot. I ended up with EBC slotted rotors and hawk HPS pads.

You will be fine with drilled as long as you dont road race, autox, or drive them extremely hard. The high heat is what causes them to crack, and chances are you will not be reaching anywhere hot enough to do so on the street.

PowerSlot slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Been running them for forever on my 4,000 pound Grand Prix. I never have ANY brake fade, they last a really good while, and they're VERY aggressive. Love em. About to put the 02 Camaro calipers on the GP, then also get a set of rotors and pads for the Camaro.
