Default Strange Engineering Front Shock S5269 Install Questions

Started to assemble my Strange Engineering SA front shocks S5269.
They are the street version and bolt to the factory upper strut mount.

Questions:

Is a 2" daimeter thick fender washer required between the upper strut body and the shock shaft? It appears that the use of a fender washer would distribute the load better.

Are the factory bump stops required for use in this setup?

Thanks,
Mike

No 2" washer is needed(or supplied), however if you feel it would be better then I'd say go for it. No factory bump stops are required either.

Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Looking the assembly over again it makes sense.

Thanks again!

I wonder what you use as a dust cover for these shocks? Top (black) shaft is too short for any kind of bump stop/dust cover. I don't wanna be running these shocks on streets unprotected from dirt

All right this is how I installed dust covers... But still I can't understand how there is no bump stop? Won't the shock body crush if it takes a strong hit and bottoms out the shock??
