Strano Spings Question
If I went with strano springs what kind of drop am I looking at? The are listed at 1.25 in drop but I have seen others say they are between 1.25 in and 1.75 in, in real world application. Also they come in white, would it be ok to get them powdercoated gloss black if I wanted?

I don't think I've ever seen anyone report 1.75 on strano springs. His springs are well made by Vogtland and they don't f*** up with their quality control. You WILL see consistent 1.2 inch drops with his springs.
I'm 99% sure Sam doesn't have any spring powerdercoating custom for bling bling applications.

Never seen a report of 1.75" drop either. Never seen a report of them sagging either.
As far as getting them powder coated, I don't see why not. You can't see the springs unless you have it jacked up or underneath the car.

Thanks everyone, did know how noticable the white trim was. On the 1.75in drop, I must of read another thread where the OP was confused which in turn confused me.

read this, strait from Strano's website:
-Consistent lowering of ride height, never will you end up 1.75" lower than stock with these springs.

I didn't measure my drop. I was looking for the handling properties of good springs and shocks. That being said, I wish the front was just a little lower with the Strano's.

I have hi flo cats in my Y and I'm fine. There's not a ton of clearance but it's fine. For how these springs perform, it's worth it. I just love the way this car handles now over the standard 1LE package. Should have been like this from the factory.

I ended up about 1.2 inches lower than stock with my stranos. I am also running TSP duals dumped and I have tucked the duals up pretty tight against the floor. The lowest point is the tips and there is roughly 3/4 coke can. I do scrap but not as much as you would imagine. I know all the dips and bumps in my area and just avoid them. WIth a passenger it does get alot worse. I think I'm gonna turn the tips outward more and gain another 1/4-1/2 inch of clearance.
Car handles fantastic and wouldn't have done anything different.

Just because one might be on stock springs doesnt mean they aren't going to scrape. You'll clear the same stuff for the most part. Though anytime your car goes full compression, it's still the same compression limit stock springs or lowering springs. That's defined by your bumpstops. You'll scrape the same stuff a little less but you can still scrape stuff.
I've got stranos and a catted kooks ypipe. It tucks up tight. I do scrape when rolling over big sharp hills a little. Scraped a million times over the staging hump at the local speedway.. I'm ok. Been doing it for years now lol
