No special tool needed, they're called a ratchet straps and pry bars. Musta been a new guy.

Edit: the ignorance/stupidity in this thread is amusing.

Typical repair shops sometimes give you sh*t for having a modified car. There was a thread started by BMR that has a list of shops that will do your alignment to your request

That's the tool, but the gang at nearly all Firestone alignment shops don't seem to know anything beyond generic alignment knowledge that they received from a poorly acted and edited video they watched in the manger's office to get alignment training. The car can be aligned without the tool...it just takes experience and knowledge. So they probably weren't BSing you...they really just don't have the capability. haha

If anyone has alignment shop suggestions so LS1tech members can avoid dealing with shops like this, please add them to this thread. CLICK ME I hope that we can get a good collection of shops in time.

There is a tool for doing the front caster/camber it's long u shaped that goes in to a slot in the k-member and lower control arm, do you need it NO but it does help. Do you have a after market rear, or adjustable lower control arms, adjustable panhard bar? Ever been hit in the rear? All things that could affect the rear toe not being equal.

I have Founders Performance non-adjustable LCAs and panhard bar. I've never been hit in the rear... but I'm the second owner. I don't think it's been hit BUT the front right panel has definitely been painted. when the paint chips... it chips into another color and it doesn't fit quite right and the door rubs on it.

The only special tools the shop used for mine was an impact gun, big wrench, a pry bar and an alignment machine that looked old enough to have aligned the wheels on first car ever. I handed him the specs I copied from the stickied threads here, he gave be a brief warning about inner tire wear (which I was aware of and counting on), then I watched him work and 30 minutes and $50 later I'm driving home done. Of course, it helps they've been doing aligments forever and have the rep as the place to get your alignment done.
