Default quiet torque arm needed!

I currently have a tunnel mounted UMI torque arm. It needs to go. I drive the car on the street 99% of the time. 1% of the time is at the track. I want to eliminate the slight clunks and vibrations. If it is best to go with a tail shaft mounted torque arm, I will. I have been told that the trans relocation bracket does not eliminate all of the noise. I currently have UMI LCA's and panhard bar too. They all have poly bushings. I believe these will be quiet enough for my taste but we will find out. Any suggestions would be great.

Get a stock arm then and put it back on the tailshaft. Rubber clamshell/bushing.

My tunnel mounted torque arm is all torqued to spec. More vibration is present than with the stock torque arm, for sure. I understand that will happen but I am getting older and I want a peaceful cruiser. Would an aftermarket adjustable torque arm mounted on the tailshaft be quiet? I assume a poly tailshaft bushing would be ok?

Our 2205/2207 long torque arm combo with a poly bushing is pretty quiet. As Bryan says, rubber isolated factory is the quietest. If tunnel mount is 10 and rubber is 0, I'm gonna say long arm with poly is a 1 or 2 on the "clunk" scale.

Proper installation and lubrication with a tunnel mounted torque arm makes them livable for most but no matter what, you're putting the torque arm in the middle of the floor pan right beside your right hip and putting 400 hp through it...

I understand that a tunnel mounted can make some noise. I am wanting pretty much dead quiet. I run rubber transmission mount, etc. because I am looking for the silence. I understand this may involve swapping back some stock parts if I have to. If I get a non-adjustable torque arm (so I can avoid rod ends, etc.), what would the approximate pinion angle be if I am running strano springs (1.2" drop)? I know they come set at -2 from you. I wasn't sure how the springs impacted that.

If you decide you want a stock torque arm, I have one you can have for free just pay shipping...

Good question.

Our 2 degrees was set at stock ride height. It tends to migrate closer to zero as the car is lowered. Factory recommendation is 0 to 2 so you should be good either way. We have a few hundred of these on moderately lowered cars (1", 1.2", 1.25") with no complaints.

Keep in mind this will use a poly bushing which may not be as quiet as you're seeking.

I assume the tail-shaft mounted version with the poly bushing is quieter than if it was mounted to a relocation bracket?
