I used one and some tie down straps to hold my engine in place while I swapped in a tubular k-member. Worked GREAT!

Like mentioned by others it really makes no difference. I would think that it could make turning into a corner under hard breaking better but there is no proof to support that.

I plan to get one so that I can drop the k member and change the oil pan gasket

If the F-car shock towers moved around as much as has been rumored, then getting an alignment would be a useless exercise.

I'm thinking about getting one and I think hotchkis looks the best my friend has had it in all his F-bodies and encouraged me to buy one and I'd like to make a custom plate on the top and cover the 3 holes to write my car # or something ... Pics would be nice my cars red and I'm between a red strut bar or black???

the solid ones (BMR, UMI, Founders) might save your cars *** if you ever get hit from the side in the front, assuming its not tooo bad.
