Default umi torque arm...stock vs aftermarket rear end????

I had a umi torque arm and relocation crossmember on my 2000 ss with a stange s60 rear end. As you know you have to modify the top bolt holes on the torque arm to clear over the top of the housing of the s60. my question is can i reuse my torque arm on a stock rear end again by using the inner bolt holes on the arm????

If I remember correctly once that torque arm is cut it will then only work on the S60 and a 9". The outer holes you are cutting off are used for the stock rear end. You can use the torque arm on the S60 with out cutting it, it just usually hits the tunnel up top. But once it dents the tunnel it makes its own clearance.
