It's pretty amazing how much $ you can spend on shocks. I want a nice ride & decent handling. No autocross or drags for me.

Alright well thanks alot to everyone for the different opinions. I'm gonna go ahead and buy the BMR springs probably now with the sale they have going to. Then save up alittle more to get the bilsteins and do the whole install in the spring.

Bilsteins and cut 1 coil off your stock springs....that would work really well.

Unfortunately you can't get this answer from anyone else but yourself. Tons of people might say they are perfect while you hate them, or vice versa.

Yea that's what I've learned. So I'm just going to try them. If I don't like them, switch to stock springs with the new shocks and just keep the 4x4 status.

I daily drove on SLP Bilsteins and Hotchkis springs for about 4 years. The Bilstiens worked better than stock and Tokicos. Running soft tires like the Starspec, NT05, or RT615 made the set up shine for handling.

The key is to keep a softer rear rate. It ran some stiffer and shorter springs and the car road like a flat bed truck with the rear skipping on imperfections around turns. In the end, an f-body will never ride smooth.

I did the same but for about 10-12 yrs. That is a very very good combo for a balance of ride/handleing. My car would pull 1.1 g with that and some r-compound tires. The worst part was it did have a tendency to snap loose with that combo. I have Strano springs/Koni's now. It does not ride as good but it did give the chassis the added support it needed for better/ more predictable handling.

Overall for the money. It would be tough to beat a Bilstein shock with a cut spring. The cut spring would add a little stiffness to the spring and the shock is good enough to do it's thing.

To add here I'm running Bilsteins w/ a pro-kit. Ride isn't bad nor great . I steer clear of bumps and drive different routes to get away from bumpy roads. I've been thinking to going with a cut ws6/ss spring. Looking for better ride and better weight transfer at the track

Huh? Many mods have objectively measurable parameters ... hence dynos, ET's, trap speeds, lap times, g-measurements, throw length etc. Seats, yes, subjective. Rough ride or comfy ride - subjective.
