C5 Z06 brakes vs base C6 brakes - differences?? Is there any difference other than the casting shape?
Is the mounting location the same??
As far as I can tell they are close, but wondering if they will work with BMR brackets for the C5 calipers.
I know the C6 Z06 are much bigger, and i believe they are 6/4 piston as opposed to 2/1.
Looking at these:

yes there are a couple of differences...the base C6 calipers are stiffer, part of that is because it has wider ribs on top to prevent/eliminate spreading. The C5 Z06 calipers have the thinner ribs on top...
Everything else is the same. The mounting for the base C6 and C5 Z06 are the exact same, same sized rotors and pads...note that you will need to cut off the bottom mounting ear of the spindle to accommodate the bracket.
there will be no difference in pedal feel on the street. Brake torque will also be very similar to stock F-body.
