Default does ur car do this?

for whatever reason, my front tires wear HEAVY on the outside, but not on the inside edge. i tried playing with my air pressure, to no avail. i'm thinking it may be a suspension problem and, since i know very little about suspension, i thought i'd ask u guys. anyone else have/had this problem?

It is either an alignment problem or it is a suspension problem. If it still does that after an alignment I would look at the control arm bushings and see if they are worn and cracked. I had a friend, whose car had worn bushings and would toe out at highway speeds, but at low speeds and standing still it retained perfect alignment.

My oem Eagle F1's wore heavily on the outside to. It's because the car has positive camber from the factory. I put 1/2 a degree of negative camber with my new tires and they've worn pretty evenly. The car does wander more on high speed, rough, crowned, roads but sets up a lot better in the corners--really feels like you're not turning on the outside of the tire anymore.

Get an alingment, If both tires are worn about the same Its probaly a toe problem. Could it be camber......yes it could but my tires dont wear unevenly with a gm spec alignment.......................well my back ones wear quicker then the fronts but other then that.

- 1.5* camber
+ 4.5* caster
ZERO toe

will solve your tire wear issues ...

Yes, whenever your tires are wearing out on the edge, it means either your turning too hard or the camber isn't correct.

Just don't be surprised if you don't get those exact numbers. Neither side of my car can be adjusted with that much negative camber, and it's slightly lowered. But yes, getting closer to these numbers will yield better tire wear if you're burning up the outsides.
