poly trans mount vibrations
Just to be clear i have no suspension mods at all even oem motor mounts. Ever since i put a polyurethane transmission mount in a few years back the vibrations have been pretty bad and i was wondering is there anything i can do to reduce it. Will solid motor mounts make it worse or better, will torque arm relocation brackets and a better torque arm help also? What can i do to reduce the vibrations? Plz let me know your opinions.

Switch back to an oe trans mount. Rubber motor mounts and a poly trans mount is about the worst thing you can do...but poly motor and rubber trans is fine.
Solid anything will make vibes worse. Id only go solid if I needed to fit a huge engine in a small car where theres no room for movement.

Go back to rubber and your problem will be solved. The introduction of polyurethane into the cars bushing/isolation system will typically result in some form of increased noise or harshness. If you can accept the performance benefits as a trade off, then they're not too bad.
Go back to rubber and DO NOT go solid. You will be much more annoyed by that.

Well i don't know maybe there is an under-lying problem.... at first i thought something had to be out of balance for the vibrations i get. You can see the center console moving it shakes so bad at certain speeds. There are only two sweet spots 67 and 77 i think maybe off a bit on those but 2-3 MPH out of them its terrible again maybe i need to look at my drive line...?
Also some people are saying go back to the rubber trans mount but I'm 440RWHP and going to be putting 150 shot on and few upgrades this spring so is a rubber mount gonna take 600RWHP with a set of nittos 255's at the moment but going wider.

Remove the preload plate and grind down the two poly "bumps" on the mount. Your problems will be solved. My car was unusable after I installed a ES poly mount a few weeks ago. It's taller and changed the driveline angles enough to throw everything out of whack. I removed the plate that comes with it and ground of the humps on the mount, I can't tell a difference between it and a stock mount now.

Can the effects vary between cars? Because my car feels fine. Maybe I just got lucky? It's noisier and vibrates a little more with my heads/cam, but I just assumed that came with the upgrade.

had a similar issue on my GTO (yikes 7 yer old thread but hey 2 lincolns) i found when my motor mounts were in bade shape so I swapped them to poly as well that helped my issue.
basically the tranny was more rigid but the oe was so soft it made the issue worse.
