Default Quick question

Installing my new slotted brakemotive rotors and ceramic pads on the front of my 2002 z28. I got the new pads on and when I go to put it the caliper back on the rotor it doesn't seem to want to fit. I tried searching and couldn't find an answer. I've never done brakes before so I need some help. I'm either doing something wrong or I got the wrong rotors maybe? Any help would be great! You can text 573-301-7643 if thats easier or just post here. Thanks

You forgot to do one step, compress the caliper pistons down with a big C clamp... (medium or regular size will work as well) so you can put the calipers with the pads over your rotors. GL!

If you still havent bought the c-clamp, theres a special tool used to push the pistons back in the caliper. I forgot what its called but it any local auto shop should carry them. The c-clamp works too, but the one designed for it is easier pretty much designed for it.

Let me know if you want me to get a picture of it.

you can compress the caliper with the old rtor and a prybar but it isnt easy , did it this way the first time then bought the specific tool that post above me mentions - makes it real easy utilizing the tool and one of the old pads to push the piston back in , just turn a **** and it pushes it back

If you summon the power of greyskull, you can push them in with your thumbs.

I bought that caliper compressing kit at Harbor tools for like $15 and was the best money I've ever spent, have used it on all 4 of my cars brakes.
