Okay thanks Ramey, the 300 is what I was thinking, my car isn't a daily driver, but good weather street strip car! I'd say these would do good with my comp. engineering 3 ways for a good budget setup, but one of them must be a dud since I just put them on and one is already leaking! That makes me want to go with the Viking front and rear kit!

Both the Viking and the QA1 are twin tube with a gas bag. This means the piston and oil are in the inner tube and the gas bag takes up space in the outer tube. The gas bag holds pressure on the oil to keep it from foaming.
Monotube shocks have a larger piston since it rides in the bore of the "mono" tube, or just one tube like a big single cylinder. Above the oil is a separator piston and above that is nitrogen. The nitrogen holds down on the separator piston and keeps things from foaming (and that's why the shaft pushes out).
Both styles have their pros and cons. For most of our drag and street customers (big LS power and street/strip), the twin tubes work awesome. With the huge adjustability range we're also having good reports on handling applications. As a matter of fact our house car will be on these this spring at GM Carlisle's ride along.

Awesome, thanks for providing the dyno graph! I wish there was like a link where we could do a side by side by side by side, etc comparison between all of the common shock types out there for us.

I haven't been able to dig up the exact Koni graphs yet, although there are some out there for other platforms (some imports, etc).
The Vikings and QA1's have such a broad range we can simulate the general range of most any damper on the market but not necessarily the shape of the curve. Most of us can't feel the difference in slight valving shape changes although there are some who can. The beauty of our sport is there's something for everyone out there...
