I'm buying the SLP Bilsteins. I'm updating a lot of stuff:

I've just finished my list and obviously was budget shopping since I have several brands, I have bought almost all of it:

SLP Bilsteins
Vogtland Lowering Springs
Monroe Strut Mounts
Monroe Insulators

Founders: Adj Panhead Bar, Lower Control Arms, Relocation brackets
Spohn: Subframe connects, Strut Tower Brace
ST: Front and Rear sway bars
Umi: Torque Arm Relocation bracket
BMR: Torque Arm

Thinking about updating the outer tie rods too, will probably buy Moog.

If you are looking something more budget friendly the Bilstein shocks and our BMR lowering springs are hard to beat. If you are looking for the best performing shock available I would look at the Koni shocks. We have an amazing sale going on with these Koni shock right now. Here is a link to the information on the sale, if you have any questions or if we can help let me know.

Kyle is right. You only see these Koni deals once per year. Easily one of the best deals on LS1tech right now. Spend the money and go with a product that is one of the best in the business.

Also, to add, there are perks to ordering direct on packages like this with the assorted parts you listed. If you're interested in seeing what I can do for you, shoot me a PM.

Yes.
You don't even have to use lowered springs, you can use the factory springs and the handling characteristics of your car would be greatly enhanced with the Koni shocks.
there are quite a few peeps out there with factory springs and Koni shocks and their cars handle great.
Notice how I keep bringing up "handling", as normally the Koni shocks are suited to canyon carving as opposed to 1/4 mile jaunts...but they still perform pretty okay with 1/4 mile launches, just not as effective as a 1/4 mile designed shock.

But if you want handling, stability, definite feel for the road, longevity, Koni's shocks are the best.

Period.

I just put Viking Double Adjustable in the rear and will be doing the front coilovers this weekend. Obviously haven't drove it as I just got done with the S60 install. Need to install bell housing, clutch, driveshaft, torque arm.

think about your needs and check book. I'm price conscious, I don't road race, I redlight race about once a month, and I sit at car meets and shows. SLP Bilsteins are good enough for me.

That isn't a problem at all, we have a lot of northern customers who choose just to upgrade their shocks and not lower the car due to the road conditions. The Koni shocks by themsleves are on sale too so you could take advantage of the amazing pricing we have on them.

Koni shocks will be the the best option for you as far as handling and ride quality go but like I said before they are a bit pricier than the more budget minded Bilstein shocks which will still ride good but won't perform as well.

Do the inner or outter tie rods affect the steering or stability of the car much? I am thinking I may need to replace mine, but I'm not sure.

With 97,000 it is most likely. Take it to an alingment shop to be checked out.

Moog outer tie rods are only about $70 each. Nothing wrong with going new parts on a 100,000 mile car.

Am I going to notice a difference between Moog outer tie rods and new OEM tie rods?

Didn't think so. I'll just get the OEM ones, I think they're right around $30.
