Default Drop it Like it's HOT.... How LOW did YOU GO??

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about lowering my TA....

But how LOW should I go??
And what is the best setup for this? Koni/Strano?

Post up your pictures of your TA's or Firehawks that have a 2" or more drop

I'd like to see some examples to get a better idea of what I'm looking for,
and hear your opinions on what looks good, and what brands to use.

Please specify what size wheels you're rolling on (as this can make a difference in ride height),
and what kind of suspension mod you've done to achieve your drop.

THANKS GUYS - I'd really appreciate any and all responses

-Bobby

What do you want to do with the car? Do you care about ride quality? Handling? Traction?
Generally speaking a 2"+ lowering spring isn't going to be great because it will damn near have you sitting on the bump stops, not good for anything other than looks. 1-1.5" at most if you want performance.
Im sitting on the Koni/strano setup here, wheels are oewheels C4 Zr1s (17x9 / 17x11 with 275/40 315/35 NT05s).

Honestly I love my drop my Koni/Strano set up gave me. I still don't have issues around town, and the car handles like a dream compared to stock. Of course it rides harder, but it looks sick and handles amazingly.

they say 1.2" drop, but I never measured mine before and after.

My car lowered here:

Well, I'm switching from Koni/Strano's to Koni/Stock Springs/BMR 1" Lowering A-arms. I decided that the Strano's were no fun on these Chicago roads.

If anyone has stock springs laying around, let me know!

Thanks you guys for all your responses,
I hear only good things about the Koni/Strano setup.
I love the 2" drop on threeF's TA, the stance looks great!!
The 1.5" drop looks good too...
I'm concerned about ride quality, but I'm willing to lose a little for the look...
My Trans Am is barely driven... But I will consider it before I make my final decision.
Thanks again everyone,
if there's anymore examples - keep 'em coming

I just installed a bunch of suspension parts, and I'm working on springs and shocks next. I'll post pics when it's done.
