Default Wheel Hop Solutions???

I have a 6spd 99 T/A, the car is bone stock. It has a bad hop to it when I take off hard. What can I do to fix this? The suspension is stock. I just put new shocks on because the old ones were shot. Thought this might fix it but no luck. Any suggestions.

How old are your tires? Could be bad stiff sidewalls, tire pressure or the pinion angle.

Lower control arms and relocation brackets should fix the issue. Is the car lowered?

Tires are new, and the car is not lowered.

Tires shouldn't have anything to do with it. Lowered or not, try LCA's

I would opt for the relocation brackets as the geometry of the suspension is the real issue. Any time you use a suspension item that in not in the 100% stock hole location I definitely suggest an adjustable component as well.

If you really want to get that car hooking well then you may consider a complete system with the torque arm, lca's, panhard bar, and the relocators. We have a killer package deal on all these components for 750.00 shipped. Includes chromoly on-car adjustable LCA's and panhard bar. The torque arm includes a complete new crossmember and a driveshaft loop as well. A good set of adjustable shocks will compliment the suspension to make the car really work well and is a proven working combination to get you consistent hard launches.

So relocation brackets and adjustable lca? How much for just lca's panhard and relocators. Are the relocators bolt in or weld in? Shipped?

If everything is stock and original you've probably got worn out rubber bushings in the rear suspension. Frankly I'd be checking all suspension components for wear and age-related deterioration before buying extra new stuff like relocation brackets and such.

My old 98 would wheel hop without even heavy throttle, and the rear LCA bushings were so shot that when I pulled the LCAs to check them the rubber centers just fell right out.

I didn't have wheel hop in my SS, but I went with 1LE/Moog rear LCA bushings -- eliminates the holey rubber bushings with solid rubber ones.

Next thing to install is my Fays2 Watts Link, panhard bars are for the birds...
