Default SLP SS shocks/springs on a Z28

I bought some shocks/springs along with some other parts I was told the shocks and springs are from a SS the shocks are orange some one told me the SS shocks are yellow? is there any way to tell if these are ss springs and shocks?

I was told that the SS spring will lower the car around an inch thats what i'm after

thanks

Should have searched here first.
Orange/black shocks are stock decarbons, they might as well be paper weights.
IF the springs are the SLP springs they might lower your car 3/4", but if they are stock springs (SS or Z28, they are the same) then you just bought the exact same springs that are on your car now.

The "SS" spring will not lower the car but the SLP Eibach-optioned springs that came on a few SS's will lower .75".

I think the only way to tell is by the spring color. SLP's Eibachs will be a dark blue while the stock SS springs will be black. Even if you have a yellow shock (Bilstein) paired with the springs, don't assume they are SLP Eibach springs - someone could have swapped springs.

If they are black springs with an orange shock they are definitely OEM. They may not even be SS springs. They could be either of these:

93-97 F-Body V6
93-92 F-Body V8
98-02 F-Body V6
98-02 F-Body V8

Do you have pictures? Do the springs have any tags on them? Oh and Z28 and SS shock/spring setups are the same except for the rare chance they are SLP Eibach optioned shock/spring setups.

OEM '01 SS shocks are orange de Carbons, which I believe are valved different from other lower models. However an SS buyer could have paid extra to get upgraded shocks to Bilsteins or Konis from SLP at an up-charge beyond the base SS.

OEM '01 SS springs do NOT lower the car. But an SLP up-charge to Eibachs could have changed that...
