Bmr springs
Alright, just about to order my BMR springs to lower the car, tired of my trans am sitting high. So I have an 02 ws6. Need to know if I need to replace the shocks when I do this. I have been told camber caster and tie can be adjusted with an alignment.
What specs to set those at? And again will I need shocks ?
( my brother is an import guy and keeps telling me I NEED a camber arm adjustment kit. I disagree though but not sure if I'm right about being able to adjust it without a kit.)

You dont need shocks or a camber arm adjustment kit. But the shocks will really help to improve your ride, since stock ones are terrible shocks to start off with. Now that theyre over 10 years old, it wouldnt hurt to change them. But theyre not a necessity.

The camber is adjusted differently than a lot of other cars, it's done from where the lower arms meet the k-member. I would suggest struts too just because your strut bolt will most likely be rusted and will not come off easy and will break.

i recommend do both springs & shocks, i think its better to combine jobs at one place than do it more than once.
but you don't need shocks if you cant afford to spend more

The alignment is adjusted where the lower a-arms mount to the k-member so you won't need anything special to be able to get your alignment within spec. If you are debating on replacing your shocks now would definitely be the time since you are going to be in there changing out the spring anyways. If you are looking for something more budget friendly the Bilstein shocks are a very good option but if you are willing to spend a little bit more the Koni shocks will be the performing shocks available.

When you lower it, in my opinion the camber sits perfectly. I think around -1 degree which I think a lot of vehicles have set stock. Our cars stupidly have it set to about .5 postive camber at normal height. That causes a lot of understeer and uneven tire wear on the outside edge. Just get the toe adjusted to about even.
