Default Street and drag rear for Camaro 1969 Q`s

Hello!
I have bought this TCI front clip: http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/p/7...drag-autocross
And now for the rear. The car will be mainly street driven with some 1/4 mile events each year. Power will be in 900-1000whp region (82mm LQ4) running E85 via a TH400. Which rear suspension would you recommend of these? http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/p/7...nd-drag-racing
http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/p/8...and-roadracing
And for the rear axle, I have already a 12-bolt with locker. Should I upgrade to a Ford 9" or will the 12-bolt be just fine? Have no idea of what 60 foot I can achieve, but maybe 1.4?
And what is the best dimension dragradial for an untubbed 1969 Camaro?
Thanks
Ben Stian

I can only relate to what I have and am doing with one of my cars. It is a 72 nova that is 10% street, 90% strip. I drive to the race track and back. It has a 400 sbc and 500hp at the flywheel. Runs 10.80’s at 120 and 60’ in high 1.4 or low 1.5’s. On the back are simply Cal-trac bars, Calvert racing’s split mono leaf spring and economical Rancho shocks, a 255-60-15 MT ET street radial and an 8.5” 10 bolt. It flat out works for the drag strip and isn’t all that bad on a weekend cruiser. The focus is bracket racing and consistency, not flat out as fast as I can go.

In my opinion the 12 bolt properly set up is more than enough.

On my car I could probably squeeze a 275-60-15 on it but no more. I can’t see it being much different on your Camaro. Go to www.camaros.net
and ask around there. Probably more of an old school crowd like myself that can point you in the right direction.
