Default Installed 2011 Camaro SS brakes and Strano Sways

....and WOW, what a difference!! Thanks Gil@ 6LE for the hook up. The PHK crew is always looking out for one another!!

I installed 2011 Camaro SS front calipers and rotors and Strano sways that I've been dying to get on.

The braking is WWWAAAYYY better than before. Should've come this way from the factory, lol.

My car, which is full suspension (minus a T/A) has never felt so good. The braking is amazing and the whole car feels planted on the freeway and the streets. Even uneven streets I'm used to driving feel better!

i'm so in love with the feeling of the car now (I wasn't crazy about it with just Konis and strano springs) and can't wait to drive again as soon as I'm getting out of it, lol. I'm so glad it's my DD.

These are the 57mm (Camaro) offset wheels. And there was just a bit of rubbing with 8mm spacers. It's a total of 16mm of spacing per side. For a total of 41mm of clearance. I'm getting the 40mm wheels so I'll be spacer free!

Damn. Nice upgrade mike. Don't know why people hesitate in doing the swap. Best swap I've ever done.

Love the way they fill up the 17" wheel. Can't wait to do this swap on mine eventually.

I love mine as well, but your rear sway bar looks awefly close to the rear diff cover, does it hit at all?

Here are pics of my setup:

Man those brakes look good. Strano sway bars are one of my favorite mods, zero loss in ride quality and a huge reduction in body roll. His bars paired with Bilsteins makes for a really solid street setup.

I'm very glad you like the bars so much!

Looking at the pics, it looks like you might have overtightened the sway bar endlinks on the back (and probably up front). If those bushings are all smashed and squished one will eventually split and fall off.

You only need to tighten the links until they don't have any play in them and no more. I recommend checking them again in about a week after the bushings kind of mold around the bar/body mounts and tighten if necessary.

But from what I can see, those are way too tight.

Nope. Looks close, but it's the angle of the pics. I've also got a TA cover on it so that protrudes a bit more as well. But no bumps, squeaks, rubs, etc.

I'm on Strano springs, Koni's, and Strano sways. This is the best ride I've ever had in my car. I wasn't a fan with the stock sways. These sways really make the car responsive and it turns on rails. And stops on a dime too!

Yup. But you have to do a little hub "opening".

Here's a comparison shot of the front and rear brakes....

The fronts really fill the wheel well, well.
