Default Removing upper strut bolt - spinning

Hey all,

Trying to remove my passenger side strut and it's partially out however the "nut" portion of the upper strut mount (these are Moog mounts with the round nut in the strut mount) is spinning freely when I try to back off the bolt from the top. It is partially out however I can not figure out how to old the internal nut from spinning to get it the rest of the way out. The other bolt and 2 nuts came off fine it's this last one that's stuck.

What's my best approach here? Grind the nut off from the top?

It looks like the strut mount has a lifetime replacement warranty thru Advance Auto where I bought them a couple years ago.

Resolved. I spoke to Biggin89 (he posted in the other thread and I know him personally) and he suggested pulling down on the upper a-arm then putting a set of vice grips on the"nut" as they stick out about 1/4" below the strut mount. Once I had those on they caught something and I was able to take the nut off.

I'm going to take his advice and weld up a piece of mild steel between the two nuts so that they will not spin.

Unfortunately my rental property doesn't have an outlet capable of powering my air compressor and my little air compressor doesn't produce enough air to power my impact. I'm only 25.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I'm getting ready to do the front shocks on mine.
Rear shocks are done, they were a piece of cake!
