Got stuck going up a slick hill this morning, was moving up slowly with traction control holding back power. After a while the Brake light came on along with ABS INOP and ACR. Not sure if the rear brakes overheated during this or what happened.

99 Z28 with 6 speed, traction control and all stock.

I searched some ABS INOP threads but didn't see anything similar. Any suggestions welcomed.

I'm betting snow or ice logged itself in a sensor... clean everything off and I'm thinking you'll be good

Depending on ASR to fight power will end up with
some weird behaviors when it figures out it ain't
in charge.

I'd give it a few key-on cycles and see if the ABS
eventually resets its faults.

I had to drive my 99 in the snow. No traction control. Had to climb a large hill. Tires spinning the whole way. Long slow tail out climb. ABS inop cam on. Went out once everything got cycled. I thin k it just confuses the hell out of the ECU.

The problem fixed itself as you smart guys had suggested. Next time I have to spin I'll just turn it off.
