Default hotchkis springs

Can someone tell me if 93 to 97 have the same springs as 98 to 02. Part numbers are 19830016 and 19930016. Will they work on my 93? A buddy got these four his 2000 camaro and never used them and can get em for cheap.

They will work. Hotchkis has the same spring rate for 93-02.

Was curious....when I look on the hotchkis site, they have different part number for 93 to 97 and 98 to 02. Wondering what that is about.

Here's the reply I just got for Hotchkis on the difference between the two.

"The front springs for the 98-02 Camaros will be shorter to make up for the lesser weight of the LS1 engine to achieve the same amount of drop. The rear springs are the same spring."

So.., your 93 will likely sit slightly lower up front than the advertised drop.

That would be a good thing, because despite an
even 1" drop all around (verified by tape measure
before/after) the end result on my car was a
dragging-*** look that I ended up fixing by reverting
to stock rears & hose-mod (until by chance I found
some old isolator donuts that happened to fit, and
add as little or less height).

Good to hear that. 100.00 for a new set of springs. I was hoping it wasn't too good to be true. So what is the deal with shocks for 1" drop springs? Can a guy run a normal shock with these or do I have to upgrade?

The front spring rate is up to around 78% higher(525lb.in.) than stock. So yes, I'd get a least a set of Bilstein stocks.
