Ride height issue with Strano/KONIS
#21
At first I tightened up my sway bars with suspension unloaded and then redid it the correct way and it went down about 3/8 inch. Some cars for some reason sit higher than others, not really sure why.

Any other things I should look at or try to get this thing down?

Until you get driving it around some it won't really settle. Heck even with totally stock stuff the car will always sit a bit high when first dropped back down after being up in the air because of how the front suspension geometry works. THe tires swing in an arc perpendicular to the rotation of the tires, so the friction of the tire pushing outward on the pavement keeps the height from totally dropping down until it has been driven around some.

So, I ran into this same problem with my car (which I sold then just bought back last week
I bought stranos and konis and ran into the same problem. Called Sam and he told me to drive it. And I did. Nothing.
Put the springs on the lower perch (not recommend) and hardly a difference. I was running staggerd wheels, which didn't help the looks either.
Long story short, the solution was to buy BMR 1 inch drop front lower control arms. I reccomend just doing that now as none of the crap listed above will work.
Btw, it's not the springs. I even bought a set of eibachs to try and those were the same. Some cars just sit differently.
Get the BMR control arms. Put it back on the upper perch. You will be happy. As I am.

Well took her for a few mile spirited drive tonight. Measured it when back in garage. Still the same. Maybe a smidge lower but not what I hoped for or expected. Looks like some drop lowers are in my future.
