Default Bilstein HD Shocks Too Soft only a year

Bought a complete set of Bilstein HD shocks about a year ago for my 00 Camaro,

Now they feel super soft, if i go over a sequence of smooth bumps car will

scrape the front! Driving it on street they seem fine. Could it be they went bad?

Only put like 12k miles on them. Stock wheels and springs.

Thanks in advance

Bilsteins normally last a long time. Are this new or used shocks? Have you checked the shocks for signs of leaking, any changes made to the car around the same time the change was noticed, or new noises ..?

Shocks were purchased new.

Checked for leaks when i started to feel it, couldnt find anything.

The mounts look like they need replacing but if i go in there ill do shocks too if

their to blame, other than that everything looks good.

Could it be bad springs? shes got 140k on the clock

When you're driving your car on the highway/interstate and go over dips in the road does the car oscillate up/down a lot, or very little ?

It does, on small dips not so much but if its a couple of them it actually scrapes

the front dam. On pot holes and bad roads its fine only when it starts to

bounce it gets bad, feels like a boat.

Okay, let me rephrase the question.
When you're driving your car on the highway/interstate and go over dips in the road does the car oscillate up/down quite a few times , or only a couple of times before oscillation stops...?

Does the ride height seem to be lower on any corner of the car since you noticed the change?

I'd get a couple of different opinions about it, preferably for some one not trying to sell you new shocks or springs. Then if they all seem to think the shock are bad the see about getting them replaced under warranty.

Straight from the Bilstein website:

"Bilstein of America warrants its gas pressure shock absorbers against defects in workmanship and materials for as long as you, the original purchaser, own your car."

pm sent.
