Oh yeah man same here. I can definitely feel it more with the rears on as well even though I don't even have them on full soft

I had a hell of a time getting my fronts together. My shock mounts needed to be replaced and compressing the coils was a pain...but it's finally done. Can't wait to get the car back together and do some testing though. Great setup for the price.

You're gonna hate me when you hear this but if you put the spanners all the way to the bottom, you can pull the piston out enough to fit the top on lol. I didn't need to compress my springs.

[QUOTE=z28SSilvest;18130653]Installed my Viking coilovers on all 4 corners. Overall, it was not too bad.

In the rear things were a little weird. Thanks to GM, the nut for the shock is all the way up by the seatbelt, so you have to take the carpet partially off and get those two screws on both sides. Then with the brackets, the bottom hole screws in where the old one was, but then you have to drill a new hole (through the top bracket hole) in the piece of the rear (picture attached).
[\QUOTE]

Did you know that GM also perforated the carpet around the rear shock mounts so that you don't have to pull any of it? Just lift the flaps? I can swap rear shocks in about 20 min as well as adjusting Koni's in a few seconds thanks to this flap. FYI. For next time.

What are you guys doing about LCA relocation brackets on the stock 10 bolt? After installing the rear coilovers last night I realized that the brackets I have aren't going to fit.

MWC makes direct bolt-in transverse mount brackets for the Viking shocks. Give us a call and we can get you taken care of!

Im assuming theyll bolt right up to a Moser 9 with the LCA relocate kit already on the housing? Or not so much?

Im itching to buy a set of these now, just hate getting things and then running into kinks.

The relocation kit as a added-on bracket should be no issue as long as it is a welded style. A bolted-on relocator in my eyes is not good anyway(no way possible around flex).

We have transverse mounts for all the different brands of rearends and are available in both 1.00 and 1.50 wide(insides)

One more vote for Viking shocks. I only have them on the rear but I love the ride and the adjustability. I think I'll be getting fronts soon.

They're supposedly based off of QA1 drag coilovers. Personally they have very nice weight transfer and my settings are between Drag and AutoX recommended settings. When you call Midwest Chasis, tell them what your intended use is and they will hook you up with the proper ones.

The Viking shocks have plenty of externally adjustable valving range to go from Cadillac soft to Corvette firm. The shocks are nitrogen assisted to aid in applications for sustained use such as pro touring and autocross.

They are? I heard they weren't gas charged from somewhere, but that's good to know.

Lol...I didn't want to mess up the threads trying to raise the car up. Even with the thrust bearings I thought it would be too much stress. Oh well...now I know.

Yes, they are just the "flavor of the month" drag shock.
Just because they can be made "stiff" doesn't mean they have good dampening or will handle well. Many other drag shocks can be made stiff and are marketed at "being able to setup for handling" when it couldn't be further from the truth.

Cue the "one MUST run a full Sam Strano\Koni setup to be comfortable on the street" comments that you insert in every suspension thread. Please elaborate on your extensive experience with the Viking Suspension brand. Give me a break man.

You love Sam Stano and Koni. All other brands are inferior on the street in Fbody applications. All non-gas shocks are **** in your opinion. We get it bro. Thanks.

To each their own for that guy. I've heard good things about the Koni/strano combo. Only thing is, you can't have as many adjustments as coilovers.

My Vikings ride really well for it to be considered a drag shock. I have just the rear coilovers and the fronts will be my on the top of the list to get sometime this year. Anyone wanting them MWC can sure fix you up right with everything you need
