Angry Camber Problem..Stumped

Hey guys I have been fighting this issue since I bought the car, I have took it to shops and they don't know whats wrong..I have been blindy throwing money at it and not getting anywhere. The problem is I cant get the passenger front tire to align properly. its maxed out at -1.3 camber while the driver front is at -0.3 which is normal. the car has been lowered by the previous owner. I put adjustable upper arms on and the shop still couldn't align it. After searching threads on here it sounds like it could be a bent spindle (knuckle). thoughts?

Is there any collision damage on the passenger side? Look around under the hood at the welds on the inner fender/strut tower to see if any are pulled apart, also look for any deformation where the strut tower meets the firewall and radiator support. If it all looks good pull the front wheels and compare the knuckles.

The camber/caster are both adjusted by moving the lower control arm in the K frame...some alignment shops are clueless others are just plain lazy....(needs to be said). Check their work and make sure they have actually tried to make an adjustment.

Agreed. ^^^^ check for collision damage and I also recommend checking if the lower a arm has moved around where it attaches to the k member. I have this problem on my car and as a result the passenger side wheel sits farther back in the wheel well... alignment isn't gonna happen until the a arms are both set properly. I also had a bent spindle, btw... spindle and a arms are the first places to check, though. imho

When you say maxed out, I assume you mean the lower control arm is to the full inward position? I do find it a little hard to believe that with the factory range of adjustment and adjustable upper arms, that -1.3 is all the best they could get out of it if they are adjusting and measuring it correctly. Can you post some pictures of the lower control arm mounting position and the adjustment of the upper arms? I can help trouble shoot it from there and see if you have component damage, or alignment tech failure

When you installed the a-arms, how far did you screw in the rods ends?

the adjustment bolt on the lower control arm is all the way inward towards the motor. They didn't mess with the adjustable upper arms cause they are supposed to be set close to factory out of the box. I will check to see if I can find any damage. Thanks everyone

Actually, that isn't always the case. Did you compare them to the stock ones you took off before installing them? We always recommend to adjust them to match your factory arms, then adjust from there accordingly. You can use a tape measure to check from the centerline of the mounting bolts to the balljoint on your stockers if you still have them. That will tell you if you are close or not.

Well I got my new spindle on today and it fixed my camber problem! After comparing both spindles side by side, my old one was bent. But of course my luck I drive it about 3 blocks (I **** you not) and hear a loud pop. Steering had lots of play in it. took it home and jacked it up to see my rack and pinion is screwed. Anyone changed one out before?
