Default Rubber hose to replace rear spring isolators..what to use?

I can't find any pieces of hose laying around to try, so it looks like I need to buy some rubber hose to take the place of my rear spring isolators when I swap the rear springs this weekend. What exactly should I look for?

I think fuel line is what most people use. I just put my isolators back and switched springs to SLP. Too much noise for me.

I believe it was 5/8" heater hose that fits the best.

I ended up finding 5/8 heater hose and it fit nicely, then I read this post. I guess I got lucky!

All installed and looking good. Thanks for the help.

Just get the hose and push it onto the spring until it make a full revolution, put oil on the spring if it won't go on.

I tried running with nothing and it sounded bad, like a 30 yr old beater with broken springs... clanky, creaky, scrapy.

The springs are only 1/2 inch in diameter, but it's harder than hell to get 1/2 hose on them due to the curvature of the spring. 5/8" heater hose works well.

Yes, I greased the top coil before even attempting to get the hose on.

I thought I am suppose to put the isolator on as well as heater hose when putting Eibachs on. True?

You would not need the isolater AND heater hose. I only put the issolator in when I want to raise the car a little more (like for winter.)
