Default Just a little interesting teaser shot from the BMR Development room

There are a few interesting new things going on under this Hugger Orange Z/28 that we have been using for some new product development. Lets see who has sharp eyes.

I see a watts link and what I will call "3 point +" subframe connectors that actually tie into the rear frame rail. I'm assuming the torque arm relocation/tunnel brace is a product already available, if not that too.

You guys are both correct. We have some very unique and interesting products coming out in the near future so keep an eye out for us to release them.

The subframe connectors can either be welded or bolted in depending on how the end user wants to install them. The torque arm is a new item also which provides more instant center adjustment than any of the other ones out on the market. It also use BMR polyurethane torque arm bushing that our full length torque arms use which will ensure that it is quieter and will have better drivability than the other tunnel brace available out on the market.

Sweet, like me some development and that watts link is calling my name...

Looks like you upgraded and reinforced your torque arm too with interlacing tubes between the top and bottom of it?

The watts link should be ready soon, we are just waiting for some of the parts needed to build it to come in.

The new BMR tunnel mounted torque arms will be braced like our more drag race oriented xtreme torque arm so they will be very strong and will be able to take anything thrown at them. These new torque arms are 100% bolt-in unlike our current shorter style torque arms which need to be welded in. Also the new BMR tunnel mounted torque arms have a integrated bolt-in driveshaft loop for safety.

It's great to see what you guys are doing. One thing is for sure -- the 4th gen community has some very dedicated suspension companies! It's kinda wild when one looks back 10-15 years at where BMR & UMI were at.

We are excited to be doing more in the f-body market again. We have been offering great products for these cars for years, but felt things had gotten somewhat "stagnant". So we decided to re-visit the platform and try some new and innovative things to get some fresh air. We are looking at a few more products as well but for right now we think these 3 new things, along with our already extensive line of products for these cars, may help give more options to people who are trying to work with a specific combination. We are hoping to have these products available in the next month or so.

Also, for those who may not have caught it at first, Look closely at that crossmember for the torque arm. Specifically around where the exhaust crosses

BTW I also just realized I forgot to put the overall picture of the car in the first post. It has BMR springs with Bilstein shocks all around also. It is a beautiful car, so it is only fitting for the underside to be as clean and attractive

That is one thing!

He is really talking about the crazy amount of ground clearance and exhaust clearance that is available with our new tunnel mounted torque arm.

Actually, believe it or not, I had one built for my old WS6 by a local exhaust shop and they did worse than that. I was thoroughly baffled by the thought process on this one. Needless to say it did not stay on the car very long

how about some RUBBER bump stops for the rear axle, the only bolt-on replacements we have are those polyurethane ones, as far as I know.

Does that Watts link clear true duals... lol

It looks like it wouldn't, because it occupies the same physical space in front of the gas tank as the drive exhaust pipe and who knows if it clears the pipes as they come over the axle. I will say the BMR PH Bar Relo kit does an excellent job of clearing the duals.

I doubt it would but we are working on another style watts link that may clear an exhaust like that. What style of true duals do you have? Kooks?

Our BMR panhard relocation kit definitely opens that area up quite a bit allowing the room to run a decent sized exhaust over the rear end.
