Hello,
Like a few mentioned the UMI k-member is another one to consider. Our k-member is one of the most robust units on the market. Our dual tube design has not failed, it has proven itself in drag race, autocross, street driving and even road course. UMI actually markets a specific k-member for road race and it has been proven to work and hold up.
For drag racing, check out the link below as a great testimony. This is only one testimony from many, Josh Pratt told us the same thing about our k-member that he runs on his 8 second f-body. Our k-member is the only k-member with dual tube design that protects the oil pan. We have not had a k-member bend hitting the ground yet either from a wheel stand. Our road race version also survived a car that rolled at an autocross event as well.. the car was totaled unfortunately but the driver was uninjured.

If I can help anymore please ask!

I'll second the UMI road race k-member. Fit perfectly with thorough and thick powder coating.
However, it would be nice if the holes in the gusseting were the same diameter as the standard GM alignment tool. Dealership would not align the car. Had to find an old-fashioned alignment shop 20 miles from my home.

These cars are probably easier to align with aftermarket parts than anything stock, and any alignment tech that has a clue should be happy to work on it.

The BMR and UMI k-member have the same alignment options, as well as all other aftermarket k-members. Some shops just won't align them if they can't use their tool. So this is not a UMI specific issue, but pretty much all aftermarket k-members. Most ma and pa shops are willing to work a little harder on it.
I hope that helps,

Lazy tech right there... wow. Problem stems from a thing called flat rate and alignments are not much of a money maker to guys at dealerships.
