Default rack and pinion part number

i need to replace my rack and pinion on my 2000 Trans Am, but do not know which part number is correct. Rockauto lists two different ones.. how do I know which one I need?

ACDELCO Part # 36R0391 {#19320489} Professional; Remanufactured

or

ACDELCO Part # 360012 {#26062311} GM Original Equipment; Remanufactured

looked at the RockAuto site, confusing and big difference in price.
RackDoctor only lists one.

Typically, rack is determined by suspension option RPO code of FE2,FE4,FE7,or F41.

I've got a rack coming from the Rack Doctor for my '01 Z28. Like FirstYrLS1Z says, it's the only one listed for my car so I guess I'll be seeing if it fits or not. I'm hoping it gets here some time this week.

Suspension RPO code is needed (as said above).

The V6 and V8 racks are different (the angle of the pinion shaft is different).

more specifically the v6 and LT1 use one rack while the LS1 uses a different rack.

V6/LT1 cars can be converted to the LS1 rack if you also replace the intermediate shaft.
